Our client is a fashion retailer with over 150 stores national wide, offering the latest trends in clothing and accessories to customers. We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic analyst to join Design team. Detail description of the position is as follow.

Position: Fashion Designer/Buyer

Major responsibilities include:
• Actively participate in conceptual development of product lines
• Researching global markets in order to identify new trends, fabrics, techniques, etc.
. Provide recommendations regarding seasonal themes, edits to line, new concepts, etc.
• Provide insight regarding style and fit of product during presentation
• Ensure that product is consistent with market trends as well as business strategy
• Conduct fit sessions; responsible for approval of sample fit to ensure production ready presentation samples
• Provide direction for colour ways on stripes, plaids and prints
• Responsible for fabric and trim direction selection
• Meet with vendors for sourcing of fabric and trim
• Work with immediate team members to review/agree/improve on production strategies.

Required Skills, Qualifications & Experience
• Degree in Fashion Design or related field
• Must have 2-3 years relevant work experience
• Experience in Fast Trend Fashion Industry desirable not essential
• Strong design and conceptual skills
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Bilingual in English & Korean speakers
